We recognize that you are a UBC student and that should be your first priority! We help support our sisters in their academics in many different ways. We have an "A Box" at each meeting where our women can be recognized for grades they received above 80%. Their names are read out and they have the chance to win cute AOII prizes!

Our VP Academic Development (VPAD) also organizes study tables and coordinates "The Editing Circle". Study tables are enforced quiet study times that are open to all sisters to get their work done. It is fantastic to see our sisters working hard in whatever their area of study! The Editing Circle is a program where sisters can submit their work to be edited by another sister prior to submitting it. We always strive to help each other succeed in classes.

Our VPAD also helps sisters craft individualized academic plans. No matter your GPA or year level, our VPAD will sit down with you, help you set academic goals, and help you develop a plan of action to achieve them. These plans are unique to each member based on her faculty, study habits, and goals. Some of our women have seen their average jump by more than 10% due to their plans!

We also provide career support and guidance. Our alumnae are fantastic resources and come in each year to help give advice to our women. They also have an additional event with our senior students that focuses specifically on career searches after graduation. In addition to all of that, our VPAD keeps a close eye out for involvement opportunities, co-op opportunities, and other programs at UBC that can help give academic and career support.
